If you want to fight us without KIA involvement then perhaps you're barking up the wrong tree by attacking KIA.

this is a pretty good post, you should probably keep it saved to a file for ease of reference
several weeks ago i linked a nc kb battle report (on the gf.com version of dis thread, where killmail links happen) with the 6 primary coalition alliances vs 19 (nineteen!) hostile gkc alliances
at this point "you are a napfest" is becoming the new "freed from the shackles of pos warfare" as the spin du jour~
edit: if we had 19 alliances on our side i'd be happy about it too, because it'd be a sign that we're good at diplomacy, nothing to be ashamed of (unless you're an e-honor type)
Actually it's a pretty bad post, especially from a CSM candidate. If you want to quote numbers even just between Goonswarm and KenZoku, Goonswarm has 116 versus Kenzoku's 15 corps. Was there any need for Goonswarm to start napping people in the first place.
See what I did there?
Yeah but your corps are much better than ours.
I mean Tin Foil singlehandedly destroyed a major alliance.

Originally by: Sertan Deras Oh I have no doubt that Molle has promised some of those barbies space when they take it back....there's only one problem with that line of thinking: Kenny hasn't displayed any capability to actually take the space back. I wonder how long the pets will continue to dangle on with the "You'll get space, we promise" line with failure after failure mounting up.
barbie may be lying in the gutter but she's ~looking at the stars~

Wrong. The first time we attacked Delve we took Querious and cracked the W4 constellation.
So we're still the gold standard in terms of failed offensives in the southwest.

Originally by: Alma Balzitch Yep, every sov 4 defense was knocked out by 1 BoB guy. As BoB's and Co. were evac'ing what they could in lew Nap fest which was bound to follow.
You guys pretty muched moved into where someone (game mechanics wise) moved out and cleaned up. Baby titans died oh well, ect...
I'll play along with this and explain what actually happened.
The first ten days of the invasion were full of equal numbered fights with about 500-700 pilots per side, dragging on for the better part of some days. Ken stopped fighting back because they were taking enormous casualties and we finally broke them on or around the 15th, when we killed Shrike's titan, Waagaa's mothership, about 20 caps and at least two baby titans in two major battles across Delve. At that point, Molle's strategic genius reared its head and he ordered everyone to relocate to PR-, whereupon we camped them in station for the rest of the month.
Long story short, Ken couldn't handle losing the ~good fights~ we brought them.

Originally by: Talon Scorpio Moot claim. The hard part was done for you by Haarg. Breaking sov would have been impossible otherwise. Clear out sov 4 instantaneously in any region and all that's left is scavenging the remains. So basically what we have here is one person who pushed a button at the behest of a man with a great deal of character but no morality, and a horde of scavengers who swamed in and gobbled everything up in a land grab. That is an achievement. I understand now. Thank you.
Your claim of impossibility would carry a lot more weight if you hadn't given up after a week of fighting. Congratulations, you chose the whiniest, most passive aggressive strategy possible, and I have to admit that you've stuck to your guns on it.
For a group that's held together by memories of past accomplishments I'd expect you to have a better grasp of history; people held space before Sov 3 and Sov 4 even existed, and the vast majority of them defended it with a lot more effort and resolve than you showed (and in the face of far more lopsided odds - remember remote doomsdays?). Given your vast tower majorities, given a ticking sov clock in your favor (with only three weeks until sov 3), you hedged against a straight-up loss by claiming the whole game was rigged, scooping up your toys and stomping on home to empire. Haargoth made it possible, but your complete and utter loss of nerve made it happen.

Edited by: Snowden Vel on 03/06/2009 20:46:20 So right now the Kenny party line is something to the effect of:
"You didn't beat us, we fled."
Which would be a great comeback if we were playing tag or hide-and-go-seek or something but as it is they're doing a pretty poor job of spin.

Come to think of it, in the fight to take and defend XZH, goons flying mostly rifters and t1 cruisers inflicted heavier cap losses on D2, YouWhat, and the rest of the north than Kenny managed to inflict before fleeing Delve. We held out longer too.

Ken did the right thing. There was nothing they could have done against the sheer numbers of people that bum rushed delve after the goonswarm metagaming attack. The best thing they could do is sit it out while the rest of us did our part to take advantage of the situation on our end.
Molle didn't seem to agree with you when this first happened:
Quote: The chief executive of the world's biggest corporation gets a phone call in the middle of the night. Thanks to industrial espionage, the company has been bankrupted, assets stripped, bank accounts emptied. When trading starts the next day, even the company name will be gone.
If this were real life, the executive might consider jumping out the window. But in the online game of EVE Online, it's all part of the fun.
"It is another challenge," said Par Molen, the leader of the "corporation" Band of Brothers (BoB), who got the late-night call.
"That's what we live for."
Dianabolic was pushing a similar line on EVE-Radio after it happened.
Unfortunately Ken was more concerned with plausible deniability than ~good fights~ and so we find ourselves at this juncture. Kenny can argue impossibility until they're red in the face, but they stopped defending long before the outcome was determined.

The funny thing about the "-A- were busy taking goon space KenZoku bravely fought alone against impossible odds" line is that -A- spent a lot of the first few weeks of the Delve offensive roaming around the Delve/Querious area with 100+ HAC gangs while massive fights were raging. If they'd brought fleet battleships and jumped into the action rather than flitting around the fringes, the outcomes might have been different. Regardless, they certainly weren't fully occupied with unopposed tower spam and they certainly had the opportunity to do much more to swing the outcome.

BoB was handed their best space off to pets and kept Delve because they are very generous and noble space-kings. Then, when it came time for them to withdraw into a defensible region back during the last war, they opted to make a stand in Delve because they figured we wouldn't want to waste time towering such an insignificant and worthless region.
We just can't win. :smith: |

Butter Dog if you're citing hypothetical future invasions of Atlas and Aggression into Delve as a reason for goons to fear for their space, does this mean you're conceding that the current parties to the conflict are incapable of putting together a successful offensive?
